Bills of materials and routings
What goes into a product and how it is made.
- Multi-level BOMs with explosion to raw materials
- Routings with operations, work centres, setup and run times
- Work centres with capacity, efficiency and cost rates
Discrete manufacturing
Covadesk plans what to make and buy with MRP, sequences work orders across work centres, scans progress and scrap on the shop floor, measures OEE, and costs every order over its good output — with quality, maintenance and finance on the same system.
Built for: Furniture, metal fabrication, plastics, packaging, electrical and assembled-goods manufacturers making to stock or to order.

The problems we solve
MRP explodes multi-level bills of materials against stock and open orders and proposes what to buy and make before the line stops.
Cost is spread over good output, not everything off the line — scrap was paid for, and the units that survived carry it.
Open orders past due, and capacity committed over the next week by work centre, are on the shop-floor dashboard.
Preventive maintenance schedules raise work orders before the breakdown, from the same equipment register.
See it in action
Real Covadesk screens, shown with sample data.

What the plant is making, how loaded it is, and how well it is running.

What the plant has been told to make, with priority and progress.

The machines and cells work is scheduled through.

120 task chairs in progress: every operation with good, scrapped and downtime minutes, components issued and backflushed, and the running cost per chair against standard.

The planning run that nets the order book against stock, open orders and safety stock, and says what to make and what to buy, by when.

How it flows
Run MRP against demand and stock.
Confirm suggested orders and release them to the floor.
Operators scan operations, output and scrap.
Quality checks pass or raise a non-conformance.
Finished goods go to stock; the order is costed.
Delivery notes and invoices from the core sales modules.
Modules included
Assembled/discrete goods — work orders, MRP, shop-floor and quality.
Switched on by the pack from day one, on top of the backbone below.
Bin-level control inside the warehouse
Work orders, routings and MRP for assembled products
Quality evidence for every batch, supplier and complaint
Maintenance that happens before the breakdown
Batch and process production with yield you can trust
The same core modules run across every industry, so purchasing, stock, sales, accounts and people share one database and one version of the truth.
Buy with control, from requisition to supplier payment
One stock figure that finance and the store agree on
Quote, sell, invoice and collect in one flow
A general ledger every module posts into as it happens
Your people, their records and their requests in one place
Kenyan payroll that is right the first time
A fixed asset register your auditor will sign
Get orders out of the gate and onto the road
Answers across every module, without exporting to Excel
Connected to the systems Kenyan businesses depend on
Any other module can be switched on for your organisation — same data, nothing to re-implement.

Questions
Yes. The planner explodes multi-level bills of materials against stock, open orders and demand over a horizon you choose, and suggests purchase and manufacturing orders. Nothing is created until you confirm the suggestions.
Material, labour and overhead are recorded as cost entries against the order, and unit cost is computed over good output. Scrap is not allowed to make each surviving unit look cheaper.
Yes. Operators scan the start and finish of operations, good output and scrap, which feeds progress, capacity and OEE.
Book a 30-minute demo. Bring a real problem — a stock variance you can’t explain, a payroll run that takes three days — and we’ll show you how it works in Covadesk.
